Job summary

Atlantic Group is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day on-site operations for commercial projects from groundbreaking through completion. You will coordinate trades, monitor safety, quality, schedule, and budget while leading a hands-on crew.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial construction, experience with General Contractors, and a proven ability to read drawings, specs, and contracts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent or in a similar leadership role.
• Experience working for a General Contractor.
• Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, scheduling, and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
• Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and schedule impacts in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and progress updates.
• Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure successful completion of all required approvals.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors throughout the construction process.
• Monitor material deliveries, equipment utilization, and workforce productivity.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Mentor and support field staff while fostering a positive and productive jobsite culture.
