Job summary

CAMP Facility Services, LLC in San Jose, CA is seeking a hands-on Construction Estimator to prepare cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for commercial projects. You will inspect worksites, determine material and labor needs, and coordinate buy-outs within budgets while traveling to remote markets as needed.

Ideal candidates have construction experience (multi-family preferred), strong organizational skills, and proficient use of NAV, Procore, or Sage and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Construction experience required, multi-family preferred.
• Ability to travel a minimum of 75%.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Experience with NAV, Procore, or Sage preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, construction budgets and construction schedules.
• Inspect worksites and determine material, subcontractor and labor requirements.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and coordinate on-site activities.
• Buy-out of jobs within approved budgets; assist with buy-outs over $5,000.
• Review invoices and timesheets for contract compliance.
• Travel to remote markets to prepare cost estimates and establish operations.

How You Will Contribute To Our TEAM

• Prepare cost estimates, construction budgets and construction schedules.
• Inspect worksites.
• Determine material, subcontractor and labor requirements.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings.
• Coordinate and direct all on-site activities of Camp employees, sub-contractors, craftsmen, tradesmen and vendors to ensure that Camp’s goals and standards are met.
• Buy-out of jobs within an approved construction budget of less than $5,000.00
• Assist salesman/project manager with buy-out of jobs in excess of $5,000.00.
• Ensure that jobs are completed on schedule and on budget.
• Review invoices and timesheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
• Travel to remote markets to prepare cost estimates, establish operations, follow local building codes, means and methods.
• Identify, investigate and select local subcontractors and vendors.
• Creatively participate in building Camp’s success by keeping costs low and quality high. Seek out additional ways to achieve excellence, both personally and corporately
