Confidential Jobs in Greensboro, NC is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to own field operations from pre-construction through closeout. You will oversee daily site activities, coordinate subs and inspections, and ensure safety and QA/QC across commercial projects.

The role requires at least 5 years of superintendent experience on commercial projects, including ground-up work and renovations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction Superintendent experience.
• Experience with ground-up construction, renovations, additions, and site development.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, sequencing, safety, and QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily construction activities on assigned jobsites.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, equipment, and inspections.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and short-term look-ahead schedules.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
• Maintain jobsite safety and enforce OSHA and company requirements.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, and overall project quality.
• Coordinate construction layout, surveying, and required inspections.
• Lead subcontractor and project coordination meetings.
• Identify potential issues early and work with Project Management to resolve them.
• Maintain daily reports, safety documentation, progress photos, as-builts, and inspection records.
• Manage punch-list activities, final inspections, and project closeout.
• Build strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders

Job description

This is a hands‑on field leadership role for someone who takes ownership of their projects, leads subcontractors effectively, stays ahead of schedules, and takes pride in delivering quality work.

The Superintendent will serve as the primary field representative on assigned projects and oversee day-to-day jobsite operations from pre-construction through closeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all daily construction activities on assigned jobsites
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, equipment, and inspections
• Develop and maintain project schedules and short‑term look‑ahead schedules
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents
• Maintain jobsite safety and enforce OSHA and company requirements
• Monitor workmanship, materials, and overall project quality
• Coordinate construction layout, surveying, and required inspections
• Lead subcontractor and project coordination meetings
• Identify potential issues early and work with Project Management to resolve them

Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial projects generally ranging from $1M–$20M
• Experience with ground‑up construction, renovations, additions, and site development
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, sequencing, safety, and QA/QC
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong scheduling, planning, and organizational skills
• Strong subcontractor leadership and accountability
• Construction layout and basic surveying knowledge
• OSHA training preferred
• Valid driver’s license required

Experience with office/commercial, educational, healthcare, retail, heavy concrete, or adaptive reuse projects is a plus.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday with additional hours as project needs require

Assigned commercial construction jobsites throughout the Triad area
