Job summary

Openwork is seeking a Construction Staff Accountant in the Pasadena area (77506) for direct hire. You will manage day-to-day accounting such as ledgers, reconciliations, journal entries, fixed assets, banking activity, AP, and month-end close.

Requirements include 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry and QuickBooks Online proficiency. Compensation ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 annually with direct hire.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Construction industry experience REQUIRED.
• QuickBooks Online experience REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Post journal entries and month-end close activities.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and external reconciliations.
• Record fixed asset transactions and depreciation entries.
• Manage accounts payable including invoice processing and payments.
• Prepare and process check runs with proper approvals.
