Job summary

Posillico Civil, Inc. in Farmingdale, NY is seeking a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting, including reconciliations, equipment accounting, intercompany transactions, tax filings, and quarterly reporting. This role reports to the Assistant Controller and supports accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in accounting, a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; Viewpoint experience is a plus. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or equipment.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Detail oriented with high accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Monthly bank reconciliations for multiple entities.
• Setting up equipment in Viewpoint and depreciation schedules for multiple entities.
• Monthly intercompany equipment billing between assigned companies.
• Monthly filing of Highway Use Tax (HUT) returns.
• Annual NYC Commercial Motor Vehicle Tax filings and sticker maintenance.
• Quarterly and annual tax filings as required.
