Job summary

Caddell Construction is seeking a Site Safety & Health Officer in El Paso, TX. You will plan, implement, and supervise project safety programs to ensure compliance with the Corporate Safety Program.

Responsibilities include daily safety inspections, developing safe work plans with the Corporate Safety Manager, and reporting on safety metrics. Requires CSP/CIH, OSHA 30, EM385-1-1 training, and 10 years of safety leadership on large projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma/GED and 10 years' experience in safety management on progressive projects.
• Average of at least 24 hours of formal safety training per year for the past 5 years with competent person status in Excavation, Scaffolding, Fall protection, Hazardous energy, and Confined space.
• Certifications: CSP or CIH; OSHA 30-hour; EM 385-1-1 within last 5 years; two heavy civil design-build projects $10M+; First Aid/CPR; Competent Persons Training.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements and supervises project safety programs in line with the Corporate Safety Program.
• Consults with Corporate Safety Manager to develop safe work plans for all project phases.
• Conducts daily safety inspections and documents findings.
• Liaises with owner and subcontractors on safety issues and policies.
• Prepares and submits safety-related reports and conducts investigations when needed.
