Job summary

Caddell Construction is seeking a Site Safety & Health Officer for El Paso, TX. You will plan, implement, and supervise project safety, ensuring compliance with the Corporate Safety Program on the assigned project, and serve as the safety liaison with owners and subcontractors.

You will conduct daily safety inspections, new hire orientations, accident investigations, and prepare safety reports. The role requires CSP or CIH certification, OSHA 30-hour, 10 years in safety management with 5 years

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED with 10 years of safety management experience.
• Competent person training in Excavation, Scaffolding, Fall protection, Hazardous energy, Confined space.
• Certifications: CSP or CIH; OSHA 30-hour; EM 385-1-1 within last 5 years.
• Experience on at least two heavy civil design-build projects worth $10M+ per project.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements and supervises project safety and ensures compliance with the Corporate Safety Program.
• Consults with Corporate Safety Manager to develop safe work plans for all project phases.
• Conducts daily safety inspections of all active work areas and documents findings.
• Conducts new hire safety orientation sessions.
• Monitors housekeeping to maintain a safe environment.
• Serves as safety liaison with owner and subcontractors.
• Prepares and submits safety-related reports.
• Conducts post-accident investigations.
• Reports to Project Manager.
