Job summary
Energy Jobline ZR in Reno, NV is seeking a proactive Safety Officer to lead safety initiatives across active construction projects. You will ensure safety expectations are communicated, enforced, and integrated into daily operations, working closely with superintendents, foremen, and field crews.
You will conduct site inspections, audits, investigations, and trainings; maintain OSHA compliance, and track safety trends to prevent incidents.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in construction safety.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
- Experience working on active construction projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to identify hazards and proactively address safety concerns.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between jobsites.
Responsibilities
- Lead safety initiatives across active construction projects.
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections, safety audits, and toolbox talks.
- Investigate incidents and near misses to determine root causes and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate safety records and support OSHA reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with Superintendents and Foremen to integrate safety into daily activities.
