Job summary

TMG Construction’s Safety Engineer (SSHO) is responsible for providing health and safety inspection and oversight on construction projects being managed by TMG. The Safety Engineer is responsible for producing, implementing, and enforcing an Accident Prevention Plan (APP) for the assigned job site, in accordance with TMG’s Safety and Health Program.

The Safety Engineer will work very closely with TMG’s Director of Corporate Safety & Field Training.

Qualifications

• 5 years of construction industry safety experience on similar projects with supervision/management of safety programs.
• Ability to train personnel in fall protection, excavation, shoring, scaffolding, and confined space.
• 24 hours of documented safety/health coursework in past 3 years applicable to the work.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-work meetings and produce job-specific APP and AHAs.
• Ensure implementation and enforcement of APP and AHAs with subcontractors.
• Ensure OSHA and applicable regulations compliance on site.
