Job summary

The Tatitlek Corporation seeks an experienced Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to oversee the Accident Prevention Plan and safety program on site. The SSHO will conduct daily inspections, maintain logs, and coordinate corrective actions with prime and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include implementing safety plans, investigating incidents, maintaining OSHA logs, and attending pre-construction meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of construction field experience as Site Safety Health Officer on projects $10 million+ in size
• Three (3) years of SSHO experience with CSP or safety/health degree
• OSHA 30-hour course completed within last 3 years
• Average of 24 hours of formal safety training per year for past four years
• CPR/First Aid current
• Proficient in PC-based programs including Microsoft and construction scheduling programs

Responsibilities

• Write up a site-specific Accident Prevention Plan
• Conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain logs with inspections and corrective actions
• Perform mishap investigations and required reports
• Maintain OSHA Form 300 and Daily Production reports for prime/subcontractors
• Attend pre-construction and pre-work meetings and inspections
• Enforce APPS and AHA compliance
• Track safety deficiencies and post unresolved items on bulletin boards
• Ensure subcontractor safety compliance
• Maintain MSDS list and hazard communication on site
