Job summary

Grunley Construction Company, Inc. seeks a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to lead safety management on high-profile construction projects in the DMV. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Safety, you will ensure OSHA compliance, audits, and training across sites.

The role requires an OSHA 30-hour and First Aid/CPR, with preferred certifications (OSHA 510/500) and CPT in key safety areas. Strong safety leadership and field collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have OSHA 30-hour and First Aid/CPR card.
• Preferred to have OSHA 510 or OSHA 500 certifications.
• Competen t Person Training in fall protection, confined space, scaffolding, excavation, silica preferred.
• Current attendance certifications such as USACE EM385-1-1, QCM, Maryland Sediment and Erosion Control, Asbestos/Lead supervisor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Safety Manager/SSHO and lead safety management systems.
• Develop AHAs and Job Specific Safety Plans with project teams.
• Conduct safety audits, site inspections, and incident investigations.
• Maintain OSHA forms/logs and ensure compliance across projects.
• Provide safety training and support for subcontractors and field staff.
