Job summary

Clark Construction is seeking a Safety Coordinator to safeguard the health and well-being of craft workers and project teams across our jobsites. You will support Clark's Safety, Health, and Environmental program, enforcing safety standards and promoting a culture of care on active projects.

This hands-on role involves site walks, coaching, and close collaboration with field supervision to identify hazards, ensure compliance, and drive continuous safety improvements on complex construction sites.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree (or master's) in occupational health and safety, construction management, engineering, or related field with expected graduation Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.

Responsibilities

• Implement safe working practices and support the administration of Clark's Safety, Health, and Environmental program to keep employees, trade contractors, and the community safe.
• Enforce corporate and project safety programs and comply with federal, state, and local safety standards.
• Coaching and educating Clark employees and trade contractors on occupational health and safety requirements to promote a positive safety culture.
• Develop and implement project-specific safety programs.
• Identify hazards, provide input to mitigate risks, and ensure compliance.
• Conduct site walks and report on safety performance and future plans.
• Collaborate with field supervision to plan safety aspects of construction, including lifts, hazardous materials handling, fire prevention, and evacuation.
• Coordinate third-party safety reviews, including OSHA.
