Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Project Office Manager to oversee office administration, facilities, and employee support for a Maryland project site. The role supports onboarding, payroll, vendor coordination, and asset tracking for a major Susquehanna River Rail Bridge project.

You will work with HR, payroll and external partners to ensure smooth operations and compliance on site in Havre de Grace, MD. A strong emphasis on organization and confidential handling of information is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years administrative experience in construction industry.
• Knowledge of union and certified payroll requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of construction industry procedures.
• Ability to work in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Supports onboarding and orientation for new hires, including drug screenings and documentation.
• Enters data and reconciles invoices and POs; liaises with vendors and subcontractors.
• Enters equipment time and usage entries for reporting.
• Supports daily office administration and HR/payroll inquiries.
• Coordinates asset distribution and tracking for the project group.
• Receives calls, mail, and packages and directs to the right person.
• Orders office supplies and manages facilities maintenance.
• Oversees EEO compliance trainings and communications.
• Processes Craft payroll weekly for regulatory submissions.
