Turner Construction Company in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead subcontractors and Turner trade labor on a project site. You will ensure safety, drive schedule, monitor quality, and manage budgets under the guidance of the Superintendent.

This role requires a bachelor's degree and at least two years of related experience, strong communication, ability to read contracts and drawings, and a hands-on approach to problem solving on busy construction sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum two years' related experience.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Overseeing scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and staffing levels.
• Coordinating work among trades to promote a coordinated project operation.
• Managing the site safety program and subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and regulations.
• Supervising Field Engineers and interns; providing input on performance appraisals.
• Creating schedules and determining sequencing of work; developing recovery strategies.
• Communicating with owners and architects/engineers on field issues; resolving issues.
• Managing billing related to work-in-place, estimates, payrolls and subcontractor payments.
• Ensuring work complies with contracts, drawings, specifications and local codes.
