Job summary

AECOM Buildings + Places Boston/New England’s architectural practice focuses on aviation, transit, education, and federal projects. We seek a licensed Architect or architecturally trained professional, eligible for reciprocity, with strong construction administration and field observation skills.

Some travel within New England is expected. The Construction Site Representative will act as the firm’s primary field liaison, coordinating between Owner, Contractor, and design team, solving issues on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with 4+ years of construction administration experience.
• Valid US driver's license required to drive project sites.
• Preferred: 8+ years of experience; MA degree in Architecture; knowledge of building codes and public procurement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site visits and monitor construction progress.
• Prepare detailed field reports documenting observations and issues.
• Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and substitution requests.
• Attend construction meetings and document discussions and actions.
• Coordinate with owners, designers, contractors, consultants, and regulators.
• Identify discrepancies and communicate findings to the project team.
• Assist with review of quantities, applications for payment and project closeout activities.
• Travel to construction sites and client meetings as needed (up to 30%).
