Construction Services Intern: Fieldwork & Office Support

Job summary

HNTB Corporation is looking for an intern to support construction teams across multiple offices. You will work under supervision and assist the assigned department or project with basic construction services tasks, usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis.

The role includes taking meeting minutes, tracking logs, attending meetings, observing on-site material testing, reviewing shop drawings, performing basic research, and reading drawings to provide feedback.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary construction services program.
• Completion of 2 years of post-secondary construction services program is preferred.
• Current or former HNTB intern is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with construction office support tasks including taking of meeting minutes and processing tracking logs.
• Attends and observes meetings with internal and external project teams.
• Observes on-site material testing.
• May assist with basic shop drawing review to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Conducts basic research and data collection.
• Reads construction drawings and provides feedback as requested.
• Assists on portions of special projects as directed.

Education
