Job summary

Wendling Quarries, Inc. (WQI) in eastern Iowa is seeking a Construction Services Carpenter to perform a broad range of skilled tasks related to building maintenance, renovation, and repair of our property assets.

You will measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and metal, inspect damaged structures, install windows, doors, cabinets, and molding, and assist the Director of Property Management with planning and documentation, while adhering to our safety policy.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Monday – Friday.
• Approximately 50 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, metal, and other materials according to design specifications.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures as necessary.
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, doors, cabinets, staircases, and molding.
• Assist the Director of Property Management with planning, project coordination, and documentation.
• Work safely with adherence to Wendling Quarries safety policy.

The Construction Services Carpenter is responsible for performing a wide variety of skilled tasks related to the construction, maintenance, renovation, and repair of buildings and other property assets.
