Job summary

A local aggregate production company in Louisiana is seeking a hardworking individual for a laboratory testing role. You will obtain samples from various quarries and perform quality control tests related to highway construction materials. The ideal candidate should have a relevant certificate and experience in a similar role. This position requires adherence to safety practices and offers competitive benefits including health insurance and a 401k plan.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Three to six months of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to work around industrial machinery safely.

Job description

In this position you will work in various quarries to obtain samples from the crushing plants and the aggregate piles to perform routine laboratory tests of highway construction material.

Job Responsibilities

• Work around industrial equipment and machinery to obtain materials samples from production facilities such as conveyors, stockpiles, and/or customer sites.
• Perform (Asphalt and PCC Quality Control Test) in lab or on roadway, compile test data in order to make Plant to Roadway adjustments.
• Follow specification set forth by the IDOT agencies Per I. M’s. (Sampling, Testing, Stockpile oversight and signage, etc....)
• Work safely with adherence to Wendling Quarries safety policy

Job Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
