Job description

Responsible for designing, cutting and shaping metal to repair existing equipment and fabricating new equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Repair existing equipment and fabricate new, including hard surfacing wear items.
• Weld components using a variety of processes including TIG, MIG and ARC, Plasma cutter, Oxy acetylene torch.
• Work safely with adherence to Wendling Quarries safety policy.
• Ensure that the supply of consumables (i.e. gas, welding wire, etc.) does not run out.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Familiarity with Stick welding, Flux core wire welding, ARC gouging, Plasma cutter and Oxy acetylene torch
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and recognize welding symbols and specifications
• Class A CDL (for service truck)
• Monday – Friday
• Approximately 50 hours/week
