Position Summary
Service Manager is to lead and oversee all construction service operations. This role is responsible for managing service calls, developing proposals for work exceeding Not-to-Exceed (NTE) limits, and supervising field technicians to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality service delivery.

The Service Manager serves as the operational leader for the service division, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with company standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Service Call Operations
- Oversee intake, prioritization, and scheduling of all service requests
- Dispatch technicians based on scope, urgency, and resource availability
- Monitor service ticket status from initiation through closeout
- Ensure timely response, execution, and completion of service work
Proposal Development (Over NTE Work)
- Evaluate service findings and determine when work exceeds NTE thresholds
- Develop detailed proposals including scope, pricing, and execution plan
- Prepare cost estimates for labor, materials, and subcontractor work
- Present proposals to clients and secure approvals
- Coordinate transition from approved scope to field execution
Technician Supervision & Field Management
- Supervise, direct, and support service technicians and field crews
- Assign work and monitor daily productivity and performance
- Provide technical guidance and support for field issues
- Conduct jobsite visits to verify quality, safety, and progress
- Hold technicians accountable for workmanship and documentation
Scheduling & Resource Management
- Develop and manage daily and weekly technician schedules
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractor support
- Adjust schedules based on changing priorities and field conditions
- Ensure efficient utilization of labor and resources
Cost Control & Job Tracking
- Monitor job costs against estimates and approved proposals
- Track labor hours, materials, and subcontractor costs
- Identify and address cost overruns or inefficiencies
- Maintain accurate records for billing, change orders, and job closeout
Client Management
- Serve as primary point of contact for service clients
- Communicate status updates, proposals, and project changes
- Resolve service issues and ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain strong client relationships and drive repeat business
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all service work complies with company safety policies and procedures
- Enforce OSHA, building code, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Conduct quality control inspections and address deficiencies
- Promote a culture of safety and accountability in the field
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in construction, service management, or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, trades, and service operations
- Experience preparing estimates and proposals
- Proven ability to manage field personnel and subcontractors
- Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar preferred)
