Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. is seeking a Construction Service Crew Member to repair and maintain post-frame buildings nationwide. You will read plans, perform door, roofing, siding, and related repairs, and safely operate construction tools in varying weather conditions.

A valid driver's license and ability to travel 25% are preferred. Earn $23–$25/hour with a $500 quarterly first-year bonus and a $2,000 first-year bonus potential plus ESOP and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Construction experience preferred (post-frame, carpentry or framing)
• Willingness to participate in and complete a training program
• Valid driver’s license is preferred
• Available to work 9–10 hours during peak construction season
• Ability to take direction and produce quality work
• Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools safely
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Capable of working at heights up to 40 feet
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Travel up to 25% (overnight may be required)

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures daily
• Read, understand and build according to construction plans
• Perform repairs and maintenance on buildings including doors, roofing, skylights, gutters and siding
• Operate hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Adapts to a flexible schedule and weather conditions
• Work with crew to maintain a safe, productive environment
• Troubleshoot or problem-solve as needed
• Organize materials and plan daily activities
• Be open to advancement
