Job summary

White Construction, a family-owned Austin-based commercial general contractor with 55+ years of experience, seeks a seasoned professional to lead project administration, cost control, and scheduling on complex projects.

Under the guidance of a Vice President, you will manage contracts, monitor profitability, ensure safety, and uphold high-quality standards across healthcare, corporate, and retail builds. Bachelor's degree and 10+ years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in similar construction project types.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, cost, schedule, and safety management.

Responsibilities

• Contract Administration and ensuring insurance, bonds, fees, notifications, schedules, reporting, and costs.
• Cost Management to analyze reports and maximize profitability.
• Schedule Management: develop, update, and communicate the project schedule with the team.
• Quality Management: develop and execute the Project Quality Management Plan.
• Safety Management: maintain a strong safety culture with weekly meetings.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Vice President or Project Executive, your roles and responsibilities would encompass the following:

• Contract Administration - Has a sound knowledge of the requirements of owner’s contract, including insurance, bonds, fees, notifications, schedules, reporting, and costs.
• Cost Management - Demonstrates the ability to understand and analyze financial reports, status reports, labor, and other job-related reports to effectively control costs and maximize profitability.
• Schedule Management - Has a complete working knowledge of project scheduling. Has demonstrated the ability to implement and maintain the project schedule, including development, updating, effectively communicating with the team, and assisting field in management of the schedule.
• Quality Management - Taking an active role in the development and execution of the Project Quality Management Plan, in strict adherence with contract documents.
• Safety Management - Exhibits an unwavering commitment to safety, including taking part in weekly safety meetings and taking preemptive measures to ensure safe work practices.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in similar construction project types
