Job summary

White Construction in Austin, TX seeks an experienced construction professional to lead project execution from plans to completion. The role emphasizes thorough knowledge of project plans, cost control, scheduling, and strong client relationships while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will work on healthcare, corporate, retail, and high-end residential projects, collaborating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 6+ years’ experience in similar construction project types.

Responsibilities

• Project Knowledge - Knows the plans (especially the details) better than anyone working on the project. Ability to predict problems prior to starting work.
• Cost Management - Understands and analyzes cost of materials and methods to effectively control costs and maximize profitability.
• Schedule Management - Prepares, adjusts, and adheres to a 3-week look ahead and overall project schedules; shows urgency.
• Quality Management - Commits to quality construction and follows the QA/QC program guidelines.
• Safety Management - Leads safety meetings and promotes safe work practices.
• Contract Knowledge - Understands subcontracts, subcontractor responsibilities, and scope of work.
• Relationship Management - Represents White Construction with clients and peers, fosters business opportunities.
• Communication Skills - Communicates clearly, professionally, and concisely.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

• Schedule Management - Demonstrates the ability to prepare, adjust, and adhere to a 3-week look ahead and overall project schedules. Display a sense of urgency.
• Quality Management - Demonstrates commitment to quality construction and utilizing the guidelines set forth in the WCC QA/QC program (Quality Activity List, material verification, non-conformance tracking, exterior envelope QA, photography, etc.)
• Safety Management - Exhibits an unwavering commitment to safety, including leading weekly safety meetings and taking preemptive measures to ensure safe work practices.
• Contract Knowledge - Understand subcontracts, subcontractor responsibilities, and subcontractor scope of work.
• Relationship Management - Serves as a representative for White Construction by establishing and maintaining client and peer relationships, attending industry networking events, and fostering business opportunities.
• Communication Skills - Have an ability to convey your message both verbally and in writing in a professional, intelligent, and concise manner.

Educaton/Experience Requirements
