Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Construction Section Manager to lead the section and resources within the construction global practice. The role focuses on directing staff, achieving financial targets, and delivering safe, high-quality project outcomes across multiple programs.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of leadership in safety/construction, and strong communication skills to engage with executives, clients, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, health, construction management, engineering, or related field with 5+ years of progressive safety/construction experience.
• Experience leading safety professionals, field personnel, or multidisciplinary teams across projects preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to present complex information to all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the team; direct and coordinate work assignments and review performance to ensure efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.
• Responsible for profitable growth of the section; ensure staffing aligns with project requirements while maintaining billable goals.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost and objectives for Construction projects.
• Lead communication between Engineering GP and Construction section; manage change within the section.
