Job summary

Ross Group in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Construction Scheduler to develop, implement, and maintain the project scheduling framework and supporting software. You will ensure schedules meet contract requirements and align with customer expectations.

The role requires hands-on experience with Primavera and Microsoft Project, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with Operations, Estimating and Marketing. Travel may be needed for project needs.

Qualifications

• Have previous schedule management experience.
• Have working knowledge of Primavera and Microsoft Project.
• Demonstrate the ability to plan, organize and communicate with internal and external customers/ stakeholders.
• Have proven successful project history. (Cost, Customer Service, Quality, Safety and Schedule)
• Must be able to legally work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Create a project schedule template in the appropriate software platform after contract award.
• Create a Proposal schedule template during bidding if required.
• Set up new employees for required schedule software.
• Maintain the project server resource list.
• Ensure training and software for scheduling are available to the team.
• Review and advise on schedules for compliance with RG and contract requirements.
• Ensure schedules are properly cost and resource loaded.
• Maintain baseline schedules for each project.
• Interface with Operations to discuss impact and resolve problems.
• Support Estimating with pre-proposal schedules showing activity sequences and contract time.
• Assist Marketing with proposal schedules as needed.
• Create schedule program files for preliminary, initial, and pay application schedules.
• Control and manage in-progress project schedules.
• Act as technical advisor for schedule processes or software issues.
• Assist Project Managers with short-term schedules and corrective actions.
• Manage and evaluate current schedule performance.
• Provide information on content, modification, or presentation of schedules.
• Identify training needs and stay current on scheduling software.
• Encourage training and professional growth within the team.
• Maintain scheduling reports and present in bi-weekly meetings
