Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Schedule Manager I for our Iowa Business Unit in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role leads scheduling on medium to large, complex construction projects, developing resource-loaded baselines and ensuring timelines align with contract goals.

You will collaborate with project teams, perform schedule analyses, mentor junior schedulers, and ensure DCMA schedule health compliance. Strong Primavera P6 and Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years scheduling experience on large projects.
• PSP or PMI-SP certification preferred; OSHA 30 preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Initiative, independent judgment, project management and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication, time management, flexibility and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of complex, resource-loaded baseline schedules for medium/large projects.
• Perform periodic schedule updates and evaluate variances against baseline.
• Conduct detailed schedule analyses including Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and delays.
• Facilitate Pull Planning sessions with trade partners to optimize execution.
• Mentor Schedulers and enforce DCMA schedule health requirements.
• Prepare documentation for schedule risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Develop progress and performance reports for stakeholders.
