Job summary

WM is seeking an Account Manager – Construction Sales to cover the Atlanta area, combining new business hunting with account farming. The role emphasizes in-person prospecting and developing proposals for waste and recycling services for construction accounts.

Responsibilities include managing B2B relationships, meeting monthly sales goals, and educating customers on WM tools and compliant solutions within regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree.
• High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
• 1 year of direct business-to-business sales with phone-based prospecting leading to customer appointments.
• 20 hours of training with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and WM CRA certification.
• Involvement with USGBC, AIA, AGC, BOMA, or NAHB.

Responsibilities

• Managing business to business sales relationships.
• Developing detailed proposals for multiple services.
• Researching waste and environmental services industry.
• Networking at conferences/symposiums.
• Assignment management.
• Building trusting relationships.
• Effective communication of pricing and service strategies; closing to meet sales goals.
• Using WM sales productivity software tools.
• Proposing customer solutions compliant with local, state and federal regulations.
• Sales negotiation and opportunity analysis.
