CEC Companies seeks a Safety Training Manager for field-based work at active construction sites in Oklahoma. You will lead safety programs, administer regulatory compliance, and deliver targeted training for workers and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in construction safety, CHST/CSP credentials, and strong incident investigation skills. This role demands hands-on site presence, collaboration with management, and a focus on proactive risk reduction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction safety management on industrial or hyperscale projects.
• CHST required; CSP strongly preferred.
• Smith System Certified Trainer, IVES Certified Trainer (forklift/AWP/MEWP), and First Aid/CPR current.
• OSHA 500 Authorized Outreach Trainer for Construction or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Construction Management preferred.
• Experience with owner-representative projects using Procore, ISNetworld, Avetta, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer the site Health and Safety Plan, ensuring OSHA compliance and safety standards across trades.
• Monitor safety metrics (TRIR, DART, leading indicators); identify trends and drive corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; perform root cause analysis and close corrective actions.
• Maintain OSHA 300/300A/301, SDS library, training matrix, and all safety docs.
• Represent the company to OSHA, insurers, and owner safety teams.
• Enforce site safety standards and stop-work authority when risks arise.
• Deliver in-house safety training (Smith System, IVES, OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR).
• Conduct new-hire safety orientations, toolbox talks, and task-specific training.
• Keep trainer certifications current and document all training records.
• Develop and update training materials to reflect regulations and site hazards.
• Mentor Site Safety Coordinators on compliance and safety program execution.
• Collaborate with project management and subcontractors to align safety with work.
• Participate in pre-construction planning, daily huddles, and coordination meetings.
• Support projects and department with additional duties as needed.
