JE Dunn Construction Company is seeking a Safety Specialist for its Advanced Facilities Group, with responsibilities across diverse projects in the office/field environment. In this role, you’ll coordinate the field safety program, conduct site walk-throughs, and support audits and incident investigations in collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety/health (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years construction safety experience required or related.
• Familiarity with federal, state, local safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements the field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conducts regular walk-through inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with laws and Company policies.
• Conducts safety audits on assigned projects by identifying, documenting and recommending abatement of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions to internal and external clients.
• Oversees new hire orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
• Monitors safety programs of prime contractors/subcontractors.
• Attends project meetings to discuss safety-related matters.
• Assists in accident investigations and recommends process improvements.
• Coordinates with clinics to ensure timely treatment and return-to-work.
• Monitors site safety incentive program.
