Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Safety Specialist Family for the Advanced Facilities Group to drive field safety programs on major industrial and data center projects. You will conduct site inspections, audits, and safety training to ensure compliance and safety excellence.

The role requires 0–2 years of construction experience, a preferred bachelor’s in safety/health, and strong collaboration with field teams to implement safety solutions across projects.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years construction or related experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety/health is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Proficiency with safety regulations and MS Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements the field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conducts regular walk-through inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with laws and Company policies.
• Conducts safety audits on assigned projects by identifying, documenting and recommending abatement of hazardous conditions.
• Oversees new hire orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
• Monitors the implementation of safety programs by prime contractors and subcontractors.
• Attends project meetings to discuss safety-related matters.
• Supports field leadership in safety program activities and chairs the project safety committee.
• Assists in investigating project-related accidents and recommends process changes to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinates with injured employees for timely treatment and return to work.
• Monitors site safety incentive program.
