Job summary

The Cleveland Electric Company is seeking a Safety Manager to develop, assess, and maintain safety policies and procedures that reduce risk and keep workers safe on the job site.

You will train staff, lead compliance with OSHA regulations, and guide the safety team in daily operations, audits, and incident investigations across onsite environments and projects.

This role requires strong leadership, public speaking, and the ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• 5 years of industrial construction experience.
• OSHA 30, 510 required.
• CSP and OSHA 500 certification preferred.
• Strong leadership and ability to teach others as well lead and manage a department.
• Public speaking and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of State & Local Codes, CFR 29 1926 & NFPA 70E.
• Understanding Focus Four and Hierarchy of Controls.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate hazards using hierarchy of controls.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and site tours, coaching workers.
• Oversee lockout/tagout procedures on site.
• Perform monthly audits: rigging, fall protection, grounding, temporary power, arc flash.
• Produce weekly toolbox topics relevant to jobsite activities.
• Deliver safety orientation and training sessions to employees.
• Injury case management.
