Job summary

Cleveland Electric Company is seeking a Safety Manager to lead our on-site safety program in Hampton, GA. You will develop, implement, and monitor policies to reduce risk and ensure OSHA compliance across the workforce.

The role includes training staff, performing daily site inspections, audits, incident management, and coordinating safety initiatives with operations. A strong leadership presence and excellent communication are required.

Qualifications

• Five years of industrial construction experience.
• OSHA 30, 510 required.
• CSP, OSHA 500 certification preferred.
• Strong leadership and ability to teach others and manage a department.
• Comfortable speaking in public settings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and juggle priorities.
• Proficient with computers, phones, and office equipment.
• Knowledge of State & Local Codes, CFR 29 1926 & NFPA 70E.
• Understanding Focus Four and Hierarchy of Controls.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate hazards using the hierarchy of controls.
• Make frequent site tours, observe processes, correct safety deficiencies, and coach staff.
• Involved in all lockout procedures on site.
• Complete comprehensive daily safety inspections with findings and corrective actions.
• Perform monthly audits: Rigging Inspection, Fall Protection, Grounding, Temporary Power GFCI, ARC Flash PPE.
• Produce weekly toolbox talks relevant to jobsite activities.
• Deliver safety orientation and training sessions for employees.
• Injury case management.
