Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a Site Safety Manager to promote and enforce our Health, Safety & Environment program across construction operations. You will support field teams, conduct safety inspections, and resolve issues with independent judgment.

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years of field safety in heavy civil construction, OSHA knowledge, and CHST or equivalent certification. Overnight shift work and regional travel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety related field preferred.
• 3-7 years of field safety experience in heavy civil construction or related field.
• Knowledge of general construction safety and health regulations, including OSHA.
• CHST certificate or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience with Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) preferred.
• OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer.
• Ability to work the overnight shift on project sites.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong computer skills including Office 365 productivity suite.

Responsibilities

• Complies with, enforces, and actively promotes all corporate safety policies and procedures.
• Assists the HSE Department in managing the overall corporate safety program with reports, audits, and trainings.
• Assists project with job hazard analyses and safe work procedures; conducts field inspections and investigations.
• Prepares daily and weekly reports on safety activities.
• Conducts safety orientations and training sessions.
• Performs additional assignments as required.
