Job summary

H.j.-Russell- is seeking a Safety Manager to integrate safety into project execution and reduce risk on job sites in Dallas, TX. You will influence planning, field operations, and decision-making while partnering with field leadership and trade partners to embed safety into daily work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Safety, or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of construction safety or field leadership experience implementing safety programs.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices, hazard recognition, and risk mitigation.
• Ability to influence field teams and present to large groups.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; OSHA 30-hour and CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders; walk on various terrains; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Partner with field teams to proactively integrate safety into jobsite planning and execution.
• Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans, documentation, and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular jobsite inspections and ensure corrective actions are identified and resolved.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Lead investigations of incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Analyze safety trends and KPIs to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide field coaching and deliver effective safety meetings; support Superintendents on safety conversations.
• Travel to project sites as required and maintain onsite presence.
