Job summary

Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals in Sterling, Virginia, seeks a Safety Manager to implement Safety Management Systems, risk management and loss reduction, safety audits, and safety training across projects.

You will report to the Director of Corporate Safety and collaborate with Field Operations, Superintendents and Project Managers to ensure policies are followed, develop Job Specific Safety Plans, and provide field observations and timely corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years applying safety standards and procedures in construction or allied fields.
• Experience with OSHA regulations, EM385-1-1 or similar requirements is preferred.
• Ability to develop safety plans, conduct audits, and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of the MTG Safety and Accident Committee.
• Develop Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA) and Job Specific Safety Plans.
• Perform safety audits and provide corrective actions to ensure compliance.
• Deliver safety training and maintain required certifications.
• Assist with recordkeeping for safety training, certifications, and incident reports.
