Job summary

Compliance Management International (CMI) in Rochester, NY, seeks a Construction Safety Professional to partner with General Contractors, implement effective safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a proactive site-wide safety culture.

This role requires strong field presence, leadership across trades, and the ability to coordinate pre-task planning, JSAs, permits, and incident investigations while maintaining OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-time construction safety management experience.
• 5+ years with a nationally recognized safety credential.
• 6+ years with OSHA 500 Certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a safety resource to General Contractors, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Mentor, coach, and train field personnel on OSHA standards and company policies.
• Promote a positive safety culture through engagement with workers and site leadership.
• Lead daily, weekly, and monthly safety meetings and document outcomes.
• Conduct routine site safety inspections and audits; identify hazards and corrective actions.
• Support Pre-Task Planning, JSAs, permit programs, and incident investigations.
• Facilitate new hire orientations and toolbox talks; ensure compliance with site procedures.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and site-specific safety requirements.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and metrics for leadership.
• Assist with high-risk activities including electrical safety, fall protection, and confined space.
