Job summary

Compliance Management International (CMI) is seeking a Construction Safety Professional to support on-site safety programs for complex projects. You will partner with General Contractors to implement safety plans, enforce OSHA standards, and promote a proactive safety culture across trades.

The role requires strong field presence, leadership, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders. Relevant certifications and 5+ years of construction safety experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably supporting a General Contractor.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 construction standards.
• Working knowledge of high-risk activities (electrical safety, fall protection, confined space, crane operations).
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with field teams, supervisors, and management.
• Strong hazard recognition, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as safety resource to the General Contractor, subcontractors, and project team.
• Mentor, coach, and train field personnel on OSHA standards, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Promote and sustain a positive safety culture through active engagement with workers and site leadership.
• Participate in and support daily, weekly, and monthly safety meetings as required by the project.
• Conduct routine site safety inspections, audits, and observations; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead and support safety processes including pre-task planning (PTP), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), permit programs, and incident investigations.
• Facilitate new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and task-specific training.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards and site-specific safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and metrics for project leadership.
