Job summary

Marand Builders, Inc. is seeking a General Contractor Safety Coordinator to strengthen safety on our construction projects in Florida.

The role emphasizes leadership, regulatory knowledge, and proactive safety practices across healthcare, commercial, and light-industrial builds. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in CM/engineering or equivalent, 5+ years of site safety experience, and the ability to travel to multiple job sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM/engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least five years overseeing jobsite safety for ground-up projects.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local safety regulations.
• Proven leadership and ability to inform multiple teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, communicate, and monitor safety policies per OSHA rules.
• Investigate accidents; coordinate corrective actions with Safety Manager.
• Develop safety training programs for general and project-specific hazards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA regs and safety codes.
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions to Safety Manager.
• Encourage reporting of unsafe conditions and scheduling repairs.
• Review toolbox talks for date accuracy and relevance.
• Prepare and maintain required safety reports.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
