Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist to promote a culture of safety on construction sites. You will develop and oversee health and safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries, ensuring a safe working environment.

Responsibilities include implementing policies, conducting inspections and audits, investigating incidents, delivering training, and coordinating with project teams to integrate safety across all phases of projects. Travel up to 75% of the time is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel to construction sites up to 75% of the time.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and clean driving record.
• Certifications such as ASP, CSP, or CHST preferred or obtainable within 12 months.
• Construction safety and industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and training per OSHA and regs.
• Conduct field inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and corrective actions.
• Provide safety training to employees, contractors, and site personnel.
• Enforce safety standards and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate safety across projects.
• Maintain safety records, including incident reports and training logs.
• Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies and reporting of safety concerns.
• Conduct risk assessments and prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA's).
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and provide ongoing safety guidance.
