Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist to promote a culture of safety in our fabrication shops.

The role will develop, implement, and oversee health and safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries, ensuring a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on shop experience, be present on the shop floor, and support supervisors and employees through training, inspections, and incident investigations to continuously improve safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in a safety, EHS, or risk management role preferred
• Relevant professional certifications preferred, such as ASP or CSP

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent presence on the fabrication shop floor and observe activities to identify hazards in real time
• Document findings and track corrective actions to closure
• Assist with new hire safety onboarding and deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Assist with incident and near-miss reporting and participate in investigations
• Maintain safety records and support continuous improvement of shop safety programs
