Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist to promote a culture of safety on construction sites. You will develop, implement, and oversee health and safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries, ensuring a safe working environment.

Travel up to 75% of the time to construction sites, maintain comprehensive safety records, and liaise with regulatory agencies. Relevant certifications are preferred or obtainable within the first year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% to construction sites.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Certifications such as ASP, CSP, or CHST preferred or obtainable within 12 months.
• Construction safety experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training in compliance with OSHA and regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Provide safety training to employees, contractors, and site personnel.
• Enforce safety standards and coordinate with stakeholders to integrate safety into projects.
• Maintain safety records, compliance docs, incident reports, and training logs.
• Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies and ensure proper reporting.
• Conduct risk assessments and prepare Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings; provide ongoing guidance.
