Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC in Texas seeks a Safety Manager to uphold a culture of care and enforce safety standards on our projects. You will develop site safety plans, mentor staff, and partner with project teams to mitigate hazards while complying with OSHA and Clark policies.

Lead safety programs across multiple sites, drive education, and ensure a safe, productive work environment for employees, trade partners and the public involved in our projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of safety experience in construction
• Undergraduate degree in safety and health or related discipline
• Ability to communicate and influence supervisors, peers, and external partners
• Experience managing crane, fall protection, excavation, scaffolds, and heavy equipment safety
• Ability to gain buy-in from a broad range of stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Drive the Clark safety culture on a project
• Oversee and ensure the safety of employees, trade partners, and general public
• Enforce corporate and project-specific safety programs and standards
• Mentor safety staff and assist in their development
• Identify known or potential exposures and recommend corrective action
• Develop, coordinate, and implement project-specific safety programs
• Partner with field supervision to include safety measures in planning
• Develop project-specific safety education for jobsite personnel
• Drive and create a safety vision and align the team to a safe workplace
• Facilitate third party safety reviews including OSHA
• Teach safety-related topics within Clark beyond the jobsite
• Assist with business plan objectives including OSHA and policies
• Recruit industry talent to join Clark
• Exceed stakeholders' expectations by anticipating needs and goals
