Job summary

Clark Construction Group in Texas seeks a Safety Manager to safeguard employees, trade partners, and the public on world-class projects. You will enforce Clark's Safety and Health Policy, and local and federal safety standards on jobsites, while leading safety education with project supervisors.

You will mentor safety staff, develop site-specific safety programs, and drive a proactive safety vision across teams.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in safety and health or related discipline.
• 4+ years of construction safety experience.
• Proven ability to communicate with supervisors, peers, and external partners.
• Experience with crane, fall protection, excavation, scaffolds, and heavy equipment safety.
• Ability to persuade and gain buy-in from a broad range of stakeholders.
• Strong prioritization skills in a deadline-driven environment.
• Agile, energetic, data-driven approach to achieving objectives.
• Demonstrates Clark Standards of Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Clark safety culture on a project.
• Oversee safety of employees, trade partners, and general public.
• Enforce corporate and project safety programs and standards (OSHA, etc.).
• Mentor safety staff and assist in their development.
• Identify known or potential exposures and recommend corrective action.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement project-specific safety programs.
• Partner with field supervision to include safety hazard mitigation in planning.
• Develop project-specific safety education for jobsite personnel, including subcontractors.
• Drive and create a safety vision and align the team to a safe workplace.
• Facilitate third-party safety reviews including OSHA.
• Teach safety topics within Clark beyond the jobsite.
• Assist with business plan objectives including OSHA and corporate policies.
• Proactively identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate work.
• Take an active role in recruiting top industry talent for Clark.
• Exceed stakeholders' expectations by anticipating needs, desires, and goals.
