Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Safety Manager I to lead the Zero Injury program across multiple project sites. You will provide direction, mentorship, and professional leadership to Safety staff while ensuring compliance with safety policies and construction best practices.

You will coordinate site-specific electrical safety programs, conduct trainings, review submittals, and monitor OSHA metrics. A strong communicator with a proactive, confidential approach will thrive in this role at Mortenson.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or equivalent.
• CHST/OSHA 500 with 10+ years in construction safety is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
• CSP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety oversight and leadership in the Zero Injury program across multiple sites.
• Lead project teams in site-specific electrical safety programs.
• Identify training needs and conduct safety orientations and train-the-trainer sessions.
• Review safety submittals and attend preconstruction meetings with subcontractors.
• Mentor Safety staff and coordinate documentation and OSHA reporting.
