Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Safety Manager I to provide leadership in the Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sites. You will mentor safety staff, oversee hazard analyses, and drive site-specific electrical safety programs to protect workers while supporting project goals.

The role requires strong communication, training delivery, and willingness to travel up to 100%. A bachelor's degree in safety or related field plus construction safety experience is expected, with CSP

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or equivalent.
Minimum six years of construction safety experience or Manufacturing/industrial background.
CSP certification preferred.
Current driver's license.
Electrical experience and arc flash knowledge is a plus.
At least six years as safety professional managing programs and training.

Responsibilities

Provide safety oversight and leadership across multiple project sites.
Lead teams in developing site-specific electrical safety programs.
Identify training needs and conduct safety orientations and electrical training programs.
Review safety submittals and attend preconstruction meetings with subcontractors.
Mentor Safety professionals and coordinators.
Oversee documentation and analysis of safety, injury, and hazard statistics and OSHA reports.
Conduct work area safety audits and major incident analyses.
Monitor subcontractor activities for safety concerns.
