Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical is hiring a full-time Construction Safety Coordinator in Suffolk, VA. This role ensures the implementation of all safety activities for IES and client sites and conducts frequent jobsite inspections with corrective actions.

You will plan safety measures with foremen for non-routine tasks, participate in safety meetings, provide orientations and on-site first aid, and assist in hazard recognition and training. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year commercial electrical experience.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• OSHA-30 Certification required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED/Blood Bourne Pathogens certifications required.
• Pre-employment background and MVR check must be passed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation of all safety activities at IES and client sites.
• Conduct frequent jobsite inspections and ensure corrective actions.
• Plan safety approaches with foremen for non-routine tasks.
• Attend and participate in jobsite safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Provide safety orientations and assist in safety training.
• Conduct field training on equipment for all employees.
• Assist in hazard recognition and corrective actions.
• Provide on-site first aid and CPR capabilities.
• Comply with company and client safety policies.
