Job summary

Rockford Construction is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement and enforce safety policies across active construction sites in Memphis, TN, and other project locations. You will work closely with the Senior Safety Manager to develop programs, conduct on-site assessments, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company standards.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in occupational safety/health or equivalent, OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, and willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety/health or equivalent training.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification required.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience developing safety programs and conducting site audits.

Responsibilities

• Foster an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies on projects.
• Communicate plans to Rockford team and contractors.
• Perform on-site safety assessments of projects.
• Monitor operations for safety compliance.
• Participate in pre-construction and handoff meetings.
• Maintain safety files and records.
• Liaise with external partners to support safety programs.
