Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Dallas, TX, seeks a Safety Specialist within the Advanced Facilities Group to support field safety programs on large industrial and data center projects. You will coordinate safety efforts, conduct site inspections, and document findings to drive corrective actions.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of construction safety experience, a bachelor’s degree (preferred), and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety/health or equivalent experience preferred.
• 0–2 years of construction or related safety experience required.
• Ability to enforce federal, state and local safety regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and construction technology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements the field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Performs regular site walk-throughs to ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Conducts safety audits, identifies hazards, and documents abatement actions.
• Oversees new hire orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
• Monitors prime contractor and subcontractor safety program implementation.
• Attends pre-planning and progress meetings to discuss safety matters.
• Supports field leadership in safety program activities and chairs the safety committee.
• Investigates accidents to determine root causes and corrective steps.
• Coordinates with injured employees and clinics for timely treatment and return-to-work.
• Monitors the site safety incentive program.
