Job summary

Sterling Construction Company, Inc. in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Safety program coordinator to maintain the divisional Safety and Health Program and ensure adherence to corporate minimum requirements.

You will assist in timely data reporting, communicate improvement opportunities, and support site evaluations and employee training. This role suits juniors/seniors pursuing a related degree, with a 2.75 GPA, and construction exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related degree.
• Minimum GPA 2.75.
• Junior or Senior (highly preferred).
• Past construction work experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining divisional Safety and Health Program that meets or exceeds corporate minimum requirements
• Ensure timely reporting of statistical data to corporate
• Create, communicate, enforce and identify opportunities for improvements in Corporate Safety Program
• Maintaining all administrative tasks related to project specific safety documentation/filing systems, etc.
• Assist in conducting regularly scheduled site evaluations, follow up and tracking of corrections to deficiencies
• Enforce documentation on the proper training of employees as related to their scope of work

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related degree
