Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Construction Safety Facilitator to join a major mission-critical data center campus in Kansas City. This individual will serve as an embedded safety leader supporting construction, retrofit, utility, and capacity expansion projects within a live, operating environment. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in protecting personnel, operations, and uptime while helping deliver some of the most complex infrastructure projects in the industry.

The ideal candidate brings deep construction safety leadership experience, thrives in fast-paced field environments, and has a strong background supporting high-risk work around energized systems, critical infrastructure, and operational facilities.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead construction safety oversight across active retrofit, utility, MEP, and infrastructure projects within a live mission-critical campus.

• Facilitate project safety readiness reviews and ensure contractors are prepared prior to mobilization.

• Audit contractor safety programs, work plans, risk assessments, permits, and site-specific safety documentation.

• Partner with project teams, facility operations, and contractors to identify and mitigate risk before work begins.

• Conduct daily field observations, site walks, and safety inspections across construction work areas.

• Support electrical safety, lockout/tagout, energized work reviews, and hazardous energy control processes.

• Verify compliance with fall protection, excavation, confined space, crane and rigging, and high-risk work requirements.

• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis efforts, and corrective action tracking.

• Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching, engagement, and workforce participation.

• Maintain accurate safety reporting, metrics, observations, and regulatory documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 10+ years of construction safety experience supporting commercial, industrial, mission-critical, utility, or large-scale infrastructure projects.

• Experience working within live operating facilities such as data centers, hospitals, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or utility environments.

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, contractor safety management, permit-to-work programs, and construction EHS best practices.

• Formal electrical safety training with experience reviewing lockout/tagout, energized work, and hazard isolation plans.

• CHST, ASP, CSP, SMS, NEBOSH, OSHA 500/510, or other relevant safety certifications preferred.
